Area seniors ready for graduation

TRI-COUNTY AREA--The 2018-2019 school year is quickly concluding and area schools will celebrate the accomplishments of seniors at graduation this week.
Dundee will begin the ceremonies with their commencement Thursday, June 27. As always, if the weather allows, the service will be held on the front lawn of the school at 6 p.m. The class valedictorian is Megan Sutherland and the salutatorian is Sarah Boudinot.
Both Penn Yan and Hammondsport will have their graduation events Friday, June 28.
Penn Yan will showcase their new turf football field if the weather cooperates at a 7 p.m. ceremony. While Penn Yan does not name a valedictorian or salutatorian, student speakers will recall their memories at the school and look forward to the future.
Hammondsport's graduation will also be Friday but at 6 p.m. This year the valedictorian is Matthew Cole and the salutatorian is Travis Raab.
Odessa-Montour will celebrate the seniors at graduation Friday, June 28 at 6 p.m. in the Fetter-Brown Auditorium. The class valedictorian is Kennedey Heichel and the salutatorian is Noah Brewster.
Watkins Glen held their ceremony Saturday, June 22 at the school auditorium. Valedictorian Joseph Chedzoy, Salutatorian Kathleen Clifford and Kai Sutterby delivered speeches at the ceremony, which included a number of monetary prizes being awarded to the graduates.
