Boorom is arrested for allegedly stealing over $17,000

DUNDEE—In a telephone interview on July 10,Investigator Aepelbacher with the Horseheads Office of the New York State Police confirmed the report that Thomas Boorom, of Dundee, has been arrested.
The state police said Boorom was arrested and arraigned for allegedly stealing over $17,000 from the Dundee American Legion.  Boorom is a former commander of the Dundee Legion.
Aepelbacher explained that both the arrest and arraignment took place June 12, on charges of grand larceny in the third degree and falsifying business records in the first degree.  Boorom’s arraignment was held at the Dundee village court before Justice Paula Seeley.  Aepelbacher said Boorom was turned over to the Yates County Jail with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.  Sgt. Louis Aaron, with the Yates County Jail, said Boorom was released on cash bail the same day he was brought in, June 12.
His next court date will be July 22 at 4 p.m. in Dundee.
