Caps and gowns are ready for graduation

TRI-COUNTY AREA—Friday June 26, will be a busy night for many parents and students as it is graduation night for Penn Yan, Dundee, Hammondsport, and Odessa-Montour. Watkins Glen will have their graduation ceremony the next day, Saturday, June 27.
Area seniors have just finished finals week and years of their high school education will come to a close. The students will move on to service, college and out into the workforce.
Penn Yan will bid farewell its seniors at the graduation ceremony at 7 p.m.
Dundee will have 60 seniors graduating. The ceremony is at 6:30 p.m. on the front lawn, if weather permits. Valedictorian is Casey Thomas and salutatorian is Joshua Prisco.
Hammondsport has the earliest ceremony Friday, starting at 6 p.m. A total of 49 students will be graduating. The valedictorian is Stephanie Malone and salutatorian is Brian Stachnik.
Odessa-Montour will have 49 graduates for their Friday, June 26 ceremony. Graduation will start at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The valedictorian is Adam Zimmer and salutatorian is Cassandra Fitch.
Watkins will present diplomas to  114 students at the Saturday, June 27 graduation. The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The valedictorian is Eleanor F. Fausold and salutatorian is Grace W. Dalrymple.
