Car buffs, get ready for the shows

PENN YAN, DUNDEE—Two antique and classic car events are around the corner with the 13th annual Cruisin’ Night Friday, June 19, in Penn Yan and the Dundee Show ‘n Go Car Show, Wednesday, June 24.
Over 200 classic and antique cars are expected to attend Cruisin’ Night, filling Main Street in downtown Penn Yan. This event will begin at 5 p.m. with music other entertainment.  The parade of cars kicks off at 8: 30 p.m., at a later time this year to end the event.  It will wind its way through the streets of Penn Yan.  Many of the village shops will be open extended hours for the Friday evening event.  Also, more food vendors will also be out from 5 p.m. onwards including some by area organizations.

The Dundee Show ‘n Go Car Show will be at Giles’ ShurFine.  Parking opens in Giles’ north lot at 6 p.m. and will expand to the south lot, then into Seneca Street. Imported and American cars, trucks, race cars and motorcycles will be present; there have even been tractors on display.  Local not-for-profit organizations will be selling food and drink.  Local establishments will also be open for business.
