Concerts welcome the holiday season

FINGER LAKES--As holiday celebrations and events are in full swing, there are a number of concerts in Schuyler County coming up this week and next week.
At area schools, concerts begin today, Wednesday, Dec. 13. The Watkins Glen Central School District will have their high school performance at 7 p.m., Wednesday. If snow cancels school Wednesday, the snow date is Thursday, Dec. 14. The elementary winter concert is scheduled next week, Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Both Christmas concerts are being held in the high school auditorium.
Odessa-Montour also has the junior and senior high school band and chorus winter concert, Wednesday, Dec. 13. The show begins at 7 p.m. The Hanlon Holiday Concert is planned for the following Wednesday, Dec. 20, again at 7 p.m.
Freedom Village USA is also hosting the Christmas Spectacular concert, Wednesday, Dec. 13. The show is free and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Performances include the Freedom Village Choir, Victory Singers, Bell Choir and artist Jeremy Brothers. The Chapel in the Glen is located at 127 E. Fourth St., Watkins Glen.
In Yates County, Dundee and Penn Yan will host their high school holiday concerts Wednesday, Dec. 13. Dundee begins at 6:30 p.m., and Penn Yan at 7 p.m.
Penn Yan's middle school concert is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.
The elementary winter concert in Dundee will be held Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.
