Dandy Mart offers to buy adjacent Dundee property

DUNDEE—The Dandy Mini Mart company has executed a purchase offer, with contingencies, for the property at 45 Water Street in Dundee. The property is currently owned by Robert Forman.
Henry M. Kimball, a real estate spokesperson for Dandy Mini Mart and broker for the Kimball Realty Group in Elmira said the purchase offer contains a number of contingencies that need to be satisfied before a final purchase will be completed. Kimball said, “We are in Phase Two of that process and I expect that will take another two to three weeks.” Dandy Mart currently operates a gas station and convenience store at 53 Water Street in Dundee.
The Observer newspaper has leased office space at the 45 Water Street, Dundee location since 1996. The property also has a car wash and additional office and separate residential space. On Tuesday January 22, Forman provided a written ‘30 Day Notice of Termination of Tenancy’ to The Observer.
George Lawson, president and publisher of The Observer, said, “After 17 years with the newspaper at this location, we will now look at a new Dundee office location.”
Dandy Mini Mart is based in Sayre, PA and has 70 locations located in Pennsylvania and New York.
