Daylight savings is Nov. 1

NEW YORK STATE—Don’t forget to change your clocks for daylight savings time, Sunday, Nov. 1.
For the clocks that won’t change automatically, clocks are supposed to be set back one hour at 2 a.m., Sunday.  The New York Department of State Office of Fire Prevention Services also suggests that people change the batteries in smoke detectors at daylight savings time.
