Dundee approves bids for park work

DUNDEE—The Dundee village board will be doing more improvements to the Spring Street Park.
Village trustees accepted bids for bleachers and backstops during their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 28. BSN Sports of Dallas, Texas, was the low bidder for the equipment.  The bleachers will cost $13,750 and the backstops $2,100. There is an additional freight cost of $100 for each.
There were three bidders total and earlier bids were rejected. Funding for the park is being done through a grant from the office of New York State Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation. The total grant requires a local match.
In other business: The board learned New York State Department of Transportation will start road grinding on Monday, July 11.
The next meeting of the Dundee village board will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18. The meeting will be held in the village hall on Union Street.
