Dundee athletes receive awards
DUNDEE—The Dundee school honored its winter athletic teams at the Tuesday, March 22, awards ceremony.
The Most Valuable Player awards went to Joe Tortolon and Garrick Conyers for boys basketball, Casi Strait for girls basketball, Lucas Chappell for wrestling, Allison Pollack for cheerleading, Devon Miller for boys bowling, and Loren Marusarz for girls bowling. Kyle Spinks received the Richard A. Kendall Basketball Memorial Award.
The Lee Gibson Memorial Awards went to Kyle Woodard (boys basketball), Katie Zebrowski (girls basketball), Richard Taylor (wrestling), Angela Waite (cheerleading), Zack Sullivan (boys bowling), and Amanda Krause (girls bowling).
The Varsity Club Sportsmanship Awards were given to Shea Maloy (boys basketball), Brooke Howell (girls basketball), Kevin Howell (wrestling), Michaela Howell (cheerleading), Jason Easling (boys bowling), and Mary Rainis (girls bowling).
Sports Boosters Appreciation Awards went to Max Gordon (boys basketball), Taylor Howell (girls basketball), Ryan Johnson (wrestling), Makenzy Haskins (cheerleading), Glenn Sherwood (boys bowling), and Amanda Crans (girls bowling).
Athletic Director Chuck Mochamer also announced that five Dundee athletes were chosen for the Daily Messenger Winter All-Star First Team. Tortolon, Conyers, Strait, Miller, and Rainis were invited to attend a special luncheon, April 1, for the All-Stars.
