Dundee Graduation 2015

Dundee bids seniors farewell

DUNDEE-Dundee Central School hosted the 76th annual commencement ceremony on the front lawn of the school, Thursday, June 25. 67 students were given diplomas in the evening service.
The class of 2015 was applauded for their community service, and speeches as well as awards were given to the newest graduates.
Student speakers included valedictorian Madeleine Fenton and salutatorian Brianna Dykes.
Fenton said, "I want you all to remember that on even your worst days there will always be hope. Challenges are going to be put in our way to make us stronger and better people. When you reach an obstacle, sometimes it seems impossible to overcome, and yet as human beings we continue to push on and reach for the next step in our lives. When I thought about this and all the obstacles that have been put in my way I realized that the only thing that is constantly with me was the belief in hope."
Fenton added, "I hope that you try everyday to be the best person you can be and make a positive impact on the ones around you."
"Although it has come time for us to close this chapter in our lives, the memories, the knowledge and the friends we have gained throughout our time at DCS will remain with us forever," concluded salutatorian Brianna Dykes.
