Dundee dominates at home 52-14

DUNDEE--The Dundee varsity football team won their final regular season game against the Marcus Whitman Wildcats 52-14, Saturday, Oct. 18. Dundee takes a 6-1 record into sectionals.
Dundee's first score came when Whitman snapped the ball over their punters head, which was recovered by the Scots in the endzone to take a 6-0 lead.
After forcing Whitman to punt, the Scots scored again on a short rush by Brennan Krall, which was set up by a long run from quarterback Justin Neu. After failing to convert the two-point conversion, the score was 12-0 Dundee in the first.
The Dundee defense held Whitman to another punt on their next offensive drive. Running back Christopher Cramer added more points on the first play of the second quarter to put the score at 20-0 Dundee.
After Krall recovered a Whitman fumble, wideout Jon Huber scored on the next play with a touchdown reception from Neu to go up 27-0.
Whitman attempted a punt on their next drive, but the punter was hit after fumbling the ball, which caused a roughing the kicker penalty. After three more plays, Whitman punted again which was returned by Huber to Whitman's 23. Running back Dakota Hanes scored on the first offensive play of the drive to go up 33-0.
A Whitman punt led to another score as Hanes ran long for a touchdown to go up 40-0. The Scots would take that lead into halftime.
The Wildcats put up 14 points in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit as Dundee would go on to win 52-14.
"We worked on quite a few things since our loss to Red Jacket," Dundee Head Coach Sheldon Gibson said. "We tried to get a little more disciplined, polishing up on techniques and getting ready for sectionals."
