Dundee dominates South Seneca 46-6
SOUTH SENECA--The Dundee varsity football team defeated the South Seneca Falcons 46-6 in an away game Saturday, Oct. 11. The Scots are 5-1 going into their final game of the regular season. The Scots kicked off to start the game, holding the Falcons to a three and out. Senior running back Brennan Krall scored the first points for Dundee on their first offensive drive. The extra point was good to put the score at 7-0. Freshman defensive lineman Jovhannie Andrades blocked South Seneca's next punt, which was recovered by Dakota Hanes and taken to the nine-yard line. Dundee was unable to score, turning the ball over on fourth and goal at the 13-yard line. Krall would recover a fumble to give the Scots the ball again in Falcon's territory. Neu threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Huber to increase Dundee's lead to 14-0. Senior lineman Jeffrey Wood stripped the ball on the next South Seneca play, but a face mask penalty led to the Falcons retaining the ball. Dundee would recover a later fumble to give them the ball at the South Seneca's 15-yard line. Neu scored on a 19-yard touchdown run to increase the lead to 20-0 with 43 seconds to go in the first quarter. Senior lineman Bradley Smith recovered another South Seneca fumble, which led to a quick Krall touchdown rush from 13 yards out to put the score at 26-0 Dundee with 26 seconds left in the first quarter. Senior running back Christopher Cramer's 54-yard touchdown rush signaled the first score of the second quarter to put the score at 33-0 Dundee. An interception was returned by Wood for a touchdown to further increase the Scots lead to 39-0. The score would remain at 39-0 until the end of the half. South Seneca would score one touchdown in the second half, but it would not stop the Scots from securing the win with a final score of 46-6. The next Dundee football game is home against Marcus Whitman Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.
