DUNDEE--The Dundee Area United Fund has again met their goal for the year. This year the goal was $27,700. Fund officials say the distribution to participating agencies and groups will begin soon. Fund Drive Co-Chairpersons Carrie Wood and Joan Washburn said, "We thank the many residents and supporters who responded generously to the needs of our local organizations."
The fund committee and board are completely volunteer with no paid staff. Wood and Washburn said their only expenses, which this year amounted to less than 3 percent of their annual budget, are for paper, printing, postage and accounting fees for government required 501-C3 filings. Washburn said, "All of the money stays in the community for 13 local agencies, such as the Dundee Children's Center, the library, the historical society, Our Town Rocks, the Yates Christmas Program, and the Dundee Food Pantry."
Contributions can still be sent to board secretary Joan Washburn at Five Star Bank, or mailed to:
The Dundee Area United Fund, P.O. Box 15, Dundee, NY.
