Dundee honors emergency volunteers

DUNDEE--The Dundee Fire Department held their annual dinner and awards program Friday, Jan. 27.
Gerald Zimmerman was named 'Fireman of the Year'. Chris Miller earned the award for most training hours (158) and received an outstanding service plaque for his contributions throughout the year.
Harlan Nolt and Linus Martin also received the outstanding service award from the department. Lamar Sensenig and Dan Petersen received the special service award designation for the year.
The fire department also awarded community service awards to Tim Kelly and Greg Dibble.
The D.B. Miles award went to Ken Riehl and Tracey Miller.
Ray Miller received the Chief's Award for the year.
Ed Allen was named the Dundee Emergency Squad member of the year. Allen completed 85 emergency trips in 2016. Destiny Austin received the outstanding service award for the emergency squad.
Diane Warriner received the award for most training hours. Gerald Zimmerman was named driver of the year for the emergency squad with 69 trips. Tom Youngman was awarded the outstanding service honor.
Finally, a 50-year Outstanding Service Award was presented to Ron Tormey, deputy chief of the Tyrone Fire Department.
