Dundee man dies in one vehicle accident

MILO—Michael A. Mullin, 24, of Dundee, died in a one vehicle accident late Sunday night, Oct. 11.
According to the sheriff’s report, the accident happened at 11:14 p.m. on Norris Road.  The report says Mullin drove off the east side of the road, and rolled the truck several times upon hitting the ditch.  Sheriff’s deputies, the Himrod Fire Department, and Penn Yan Ambulance responded to the reported accident.
Investigator Scott Backer said the driver did not abruptly go off the road.  The autopsy was completed Monday in order to find what caused the accident.
In a follow-up report released Monday, the sheriff’s department said alcohol and speeding were the main factors in the accident.  The report added that Mullin was not wearing a seat-belt, which “also contributed to this being a fatal accident.”
