Dundee presents spring sports awards

DUNDEE—On June 7 the spring sports awards were held at Dundee Central School.  The most valuable player, Lee Gibson, Sportsmanship, and Sports Booster were all awards that had a winner from each team; softball, girls track, boys tennis, baseball, boys track.  Two additional awards were presented to students including Colonel Lawrence J. Bolvig Memorial Award and Summerson award.  The winners are as follows:
    •    The most valuable players include Kathryn Zebrowski for girls track, Cassandra Strait for softball, Jordan Cady for boys track, James Deane for tennis, and Joseph Tortolon for baseball.
    •    The 2011 spring sport award winners of the Lee Gibson Memorial Award include Samantha Sprague for girls track, Megan Lynn for softball, Chris Case for boys tennis, Kyle Spinks for baseball, and Matt McCann (not pictured) for boys track.
    •    2011 winners of the Varsity Club Sportsmanship Award include Shea Maloy for baseball, Lauren Howell for softball, Gage Oughterson for boys track, Dan D’Amato (not pictured) for boys tennis, and Raelene Zimmer (not pictured) for girls track.
    •    The Spring 2011 award winners of the Sports Boosters Appreciation Award are Brooke Howell for girls track, Olivia Taylor for softball, Michael Pollack for baseball, Greg Ellison for track, and Devon Miller (not pictured) for tennis.
    •    The Colonel Lawrence J. Bolvig Memorial Award for track went to Nolleen Wetham and Mac Kenzie Stone.
    •    The 2011 winners of the Summerson Award to outstanding athletes include Cassandra Strait and Joseph Tortolon.
    •    Varsity softball scorekeeper Chrissy Strait was presented an award for her work from 2009 to 2011.
