Dundee presents 'Wizard of Oz'

DUNDEE—“We’re off to see the Wizard!”
The Dundee musical theater club invites the community to join Dorothy and Toto on the yellow brick road this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as the school presents “The Wizard of Oz.”
Michaela Howell will play Dorothy Gale, who is whisked away by a tornado from her aunt and uncle in Kansas to the magical land of Oz. There, she meets the Scarecrow (Gordon Crans), Tinman (Christopher Knapp), and Lion (Anthony McAdams) who join her travels.
Once in Oz, Glinda the good sorceress (played by Anna Gilbert), gives Dorothy the ruby slippers. Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, and Lion are then off to see the wonderful Wizard of Oz (Dylan Krall) who lives in the Emerald City. Dorothy also makes an enemy upon coming to Oz in the Wicked Witch of the West (Esther Ninos). As the quartet of travelers follow the yellow brick road they also face talking trees and giant, dancing jitterbugs.
“The Wizard of Oz” is directed by Scott Shepardson and choreographed by Morgan Allen. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. All performances are at 7:30 p.m.
