Dundee seeks reserve fund information

DUNDEE—Dundee School Board President James Koehler said he will be attending a workshop in November to address information regarding the school’s reserve funds, during the school board’s meeting Thursday, Sept. 13. He said he is unsure of the date, but that the workshop is sometime in November. Superintendent Kathy Ring said she would be able to send information about reserve funds to the board as well.
Koehler said the class will tell him what the reserve funds are for and what the limits are on their use. He also said the school is using those funds and that they are helping to keep the school afloat currently. Koehler said some of the reserves can only be used for specific things according to the law, so he said there needs to be a lot more understanding about what can be done with the reserve fund.
