MARCUS WHITMAN--The Dundee varsity football team advanced to 2-0 on the season after a 52-20 win over the Marcus Whitman Wildcats. The Scotsmen jumped out to a 46-7 lead in the first half of the game. They received the ball at halftime and proceeded to march down the field with their running game to the Marcus Whitman 18. However, the Scots turned the ball over after coming up short on fourth and four. The Wildcats then found the end zone for the second time in the game on a 17 yard run, making the score 46-13, Dundee. Dundee found the end zone once again on a one-yard run by junior runningback Jeffrey Wood after a long run by senior runningback Colin Prior set the Scots up on the Whitman two yard line. The Wildcats responded by running the ball down the field, eating up most of the remaining clock before scoring another touchdown with four seconds remaining, making the final score 52-20. The Scots will host Red Jacket next Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.
