Dundee ties for first in league with Mynderse

DUNDEE—With the Lady Scots' win against Mynderse, Wednesday, Jan. 6, both teams are now tied for first place in the Finger Lakes West League.
Dundee won the close game, 35-30.  Coach Tom Pratt explained that at the start of the game, Mynderse was hitting a lot of free throws.  After two quarters, Mynderse had the lead   So halfway through the game, Dundee became more defensively aggressive.
"They played their tails off," said Pratt.
And the plan worked in getting Dundee in the lead.  In the third quarter a number of steals, and finally a free throw shot by Casi Strait, tied Dundee and MynderseRashanna Gee made the basket that pulled Dundee past Mynderse.  From there, it was a fight to stay in the lead, as Mynderse tried to surpass the Scots.  Strait scored the last baskets, with two free throws at the end of the game, to bring the final score to 35-30.
Strait had the most baskets with 14 points.  Gee and Sami Clingerman each scored eight points.
