DUNDEE--The 63rd annual Dundee Area United Fund Campaign is now underway.
Donation letters have been sent to donors in September as part of the campaign's advance drive and the bulk of the mailings are now also being delivered.
Campaign Co-Chairs Lois Larmouth and Carrie Wood said the goal this year is $27,900 and point out that the fund's only cost is the bulk mailing postage--other campaign work is completed by volunteers to allow 96.5 percent of all money raised goes toward the 13 participating organizations.
The groups and their dollar awards for 2019 include the following:
Dundee Library: $3,600, Dundee Children's Center: $2,500, Girl Scouts: $600, Literacy Volunteers: $600, Dundee Food Pantry: $2,800, Dundee Meals on Wheels: $3,200, Our Town Rocks: $1,200, Dundee Area Historical Society: $3,000, Yates Red Cross: $2,800, Boy Scouts: $600, Safe Harbors: $1,100, Retired Senior Volunteer Programs: $1,100, Yates Christmas Program: $4,800, total campaign goal of $27,900.
