Dundee whips Mynderse 41-6; Finney forfeits Saturday's sectional game to Dundee
GENEVA-The Dundee Scots captured their third consecutive Finger Lakes West
football title Friday night, Oct. 8 after defeating Mynderse Academy 41-6. Dundee scored easily in the game and had 198 yards rushing for the Friday ‘under the lights’ contest. Jordan Cady rushed for 65 yards, Max Gorton carried for 72 yards. Quarterback Nick Raplee was 4 for 13 in the game with 111 passing yards. Mynderse finished the season with a 0-6 division record. The school has lost their last 24 football games dating back to the 2007 season.
Sectional play starts this coming weekend however Dundee's opponent, C.J. Finney, has decided to forfeit the game to Dundee. Finney's Athletic Director Joe Marchand said, "We have forfeited due to the number of injuries that our team has already sustained this season."
Dundee will play, Saturday, Oct. 23, in the semifinal game at PAETEC Park, starting at noon. The Scots face the winner of Friday's game between Geneseo and Notre Dame.
