Dundee will hold holiday fundraisers

DUNDEE—Dundee parents and students have organized two Christmas shopping opportunities right at the school.
The Dundee Parents Advisory Council (PAC) is holding its first vendor party and craft sale, Friday, Dec. 2, in the elementary cafeteria, 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Nicole Allen explained the PAC is trying to raise a total of $30,000 over several fundraisers for new playground equipment. She said the event will host vendors like Pampered Chef, J&R Designs, and Ultimate Apparel. She added that there will also be a raffle.
The PAC is made up of parents and teachers. The goal of the PAC is to provide the students of Dundee with the opportunity to expand their learning experiences beyond that of the school curriculum. The parent/guardians function within the group is to be able to express their ideas on ways the PAC can help to provide students with safe and fun ways to grow outside of what is already provided by the school.
The second sale is being held by students and clubs. The Mini Mall will be Monday, Dec. 5, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. In addition to food and gifts, the jazz band will play music and children can visit with Santa. The Mini Mall will be held near the elementary office. Funds raised will go towards the group sponsoring the event.
    The students will offer:
    • Seventh grade - Hot cocoa and hot drinks.
    • Eighth grade - Wrapping paper station, fountain/wishing well.
    • Ninth grade - Nail salon and cold drinks.
    • 10th grade - Sporting goods, as well as hot foods.
    • 11th grade - Items and candy, all around $1.
