Election includes many contested races

TRI-COUNTY AREA--Voters will have a number of choices with contested races in the general election Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Three districts in the Yates County legislature have contested elections, with five candidates vying for four seats in District 1, four candidates and three seats in District 2 and six candidates for four seats in District 3. District 1 consists of Italy, Jerusalem and Middlesex, District 2 encompasses Benton, Potter and Torrey and District 3 is Milo.
Along with voting for county positions, Benton, Jerusalem, Italy and Milo also have contested elections along with Barrington.
In addition, Wayne and Urbana will also be voting for the town supervisor position along with several town positions.
In Schuyler County, a four-person contested judge race and several open legislative seats highlight the November voting.
The polls have been open for early voting and regular voting will be from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. In Yates County, election officials remind voters for Milo 2, 3, 5 and 6 voting will take place in the gymnasium at the Penn Yan Academy. Vehicles should enter via Liberty Street and parking is permitted in the school circle.
Yates polling locations include the following:
Barrington: Barrington Town Hall, 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan
Benton--1 and 2: Benton Town Hall, 1000 State Route 14A, Penn Yan
Italy: Italy Town Hall, 6060 Italy Valley Road, Naples
Jerusalem--1 and 4: Keuka Park Firehouse, 522 Assembly Ave., Keuka Park
Jerusalem--2 and 3: Branchport Firehouse, 3686 State Route 54A, Branchport
Middlesex: Middlesex Firehouse, 5537 Water St., Middlesex
Milo--2 and 3, 5 and 6: Penn Yan high school gymnasium, 305 Court St., Penn Yan (for voting use Liberty Street entrance)
Milo--4: Himrod Firehouse, 3530 Himrod Road, Himrod
Potter: Potter Firehouse, 1255 Phelps Road, Potter
Starkey - 1 and 2: Dundee Village Hall, 12 Union St., Dundee
Torrey: Dresden Firehouse, 3 Firehouse Ave., Dresden
STEUBEN COUNTY
Urbana Polling Locations
Urbana 1 and 2: Fred & Harriett Memorial Library, 21 William St., Hammondsport
Wayne: Wayne Town Hall, 9772 Silsbee Road, Wayne.
