Fireman's carnival comes to Montour Falls

MONTOUR FALLS—The 56th Annual Montour Falls Fire Department Festival and Parade this weekend will include plenty of music, games, rides, and fun.
The festival will run from Thursday, June 7, to Saturday, June 9, at the fireman’s field.  The festival grounds open on Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m.  The first day includes bingo (under the pavilion) and one price amusement rides; $12 with a coupon available for free at area merchants or $14 without a coupon.  The amusement rides end at 10 p.m.  On Friday, bingo will also be available, while Nik and the Nice Guys will provide the musical entertainment at 8 p.m.
The festival grounds open at noon on Saturday.  One price rides will again be offered until 4 p.m., as well as bingo and a chicken barbecue.  The highlight of Saturday will be the 56th Annual Grand Parade, which starts at 5 p.m. sharp.  It will feature more than 30 fire departments, eight bands, antique cars, trucks, vintage fire apparatuses, and more.
J.B. and Company will provide music starting at 7 p.m.  Saturday will end with a raffle drawing at 10 p.m.  Inclement weather may cause events to be canceled.
