Food company buys Dundee Foods

DUNDEE—On Friday, Jan. 13, Finger Lakes Economic Center Chief Executive Officer Steve Griffin announced the sale of the Dundee Foods building was completed.  The name of the company that purchased the building is Aceyt Foods LLC.  Aceyt purchased the building from Dundee Foods’ parent company, LiDestri Foods, LLC.  Griffin said Aceyt plans to create around 40 new jobs in Dundee over the next three years. Griffin said that Aceyt Foods will handle bulk distribution for specialty food items including olive oil, olives, capers and sardines.
According to Griffin, Kirk McAfee of New York City is the contact person regarding the purchase. McAfee is the chief executive officer of the Ascent Principal Group LLC. Ascent works with partners and clients to structure and negotiate financial and commercial transactions. McAfee did not respond to several telephone calls by press time.
Griffin was pleased about the sale being completed.  “We are very excited,” he stated.  “This is a great way to start the new year with a new business for Dundee and Yates County.”
