PENN YAN--Julie Coleman, 35, the former interim director of the Yates County Chamber of Commerce, has pled guilty to committing a felony criminal act.
Yates County District Attorney Todd Casella said Coleman plead guilty Thursday, Jan. 10 to possession of a forged instrument in the second-degree in full satisfaction of a grand larceny fourth degree charge.
Casella said the sentence promise was no more than six months in jail, five years probation, $2377 in restitution to the chamber of commerce, a surcharge, and a DNA fee and sample.
Coleman is scheduled for sentencing March 19.
The chamber of commerce hired Coleman in May 2017 following the death of longtime chamber director Mike Linehan.
Coleman was arrested locally after an area and out-of-state investigation.
