Grand jury indicts Khouzam

PENN YAN --The grand jury of Yates County returned an indictment on Thursday, Nov. 1 charging Paul Khouzam, 37, with the crimes of murder in the second degree, burglary in the first degree, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and aggravated cruelty to animals.
These charges stem from a domestic incident occurring Aug. 6 on Arrowhead Beach Road in the town of Torrey. The victim is Magda Khouzam, the defendant's mother. District Attorney Todd Casella is prosecuting the case.
The defendant is scheduled for arraignment on this indictment Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. before the Honorable Jason L. Cook.
