Hammondsport girls fall to Jasper, 4-1

HAMMONDSPORT—The Lakers girls soccer team lost to Jasper-Troupsburg 4-1, in a home game, Saturday, Oct. 16.
Despite the loss, Coach Erin Kellogg said it was an incredible improvement over the last time Hammondsport faced Jasper.  She said the Lakers lost 7-0.  Kellogg added the girls were “much more consistent and were passing stronger.”
Brooke Gordon scored for Hammondsport, assisted by Ashley House.  The Lakers also had 21 saves in the goal to Jasper’s four.  The girls are now 5-7-1 for the season.
“They played a great, consistent passing game,” said Kellogg.
Hammondsport plays next against Prattsburgh, Thursday, Oct. 21.
