Hammondsport will celebrate with 'Christmas in the Park'

HAMMONDSPORT - Christmas in the Park on Saturday, Dec. 10, will fill the village with singing, Santa and a number of festive holiday activities.
"A Hammondsport Christmas Carol" will be presented by the Keuka Lake Players from 4 to 5 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1 Park Place. Based on the story by Charles Dickens, this will be a once-only performance, with classic holiday songs, kicking off the Hammondsport Christmas in the Park celebration. Admission is free.
Christmas in the Park will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on the village square. Santa arrives at 6 p.m., and there will be live music in the bandstand, carolers in the square, horse-drawn wagon rides and Santa's second-string reindeer. Vendors will also be set up.
Also occurring Dec. 10 but separate from Christmas in the Park will be Christmas Sing-A-Long and Stories of our Faith from 2 to 3 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, Main and Lake Streets. There will be readings for the Advent and Christmas seasons, as well as singing of favorite hymns and songs.
