Hammondsport will present pop musical this weekend

HAMMONDSPORT--The Hammondsport Central School Drama Club will showcase a production of Cyrano de BurgerShack this weekend at the school auditorium.
The show is a pop musical retelling of the classic "Cyrano de Bergerac" and was written by Jeremy Desmon. The audience will recognize pop hit songs in a fun and witty show.
Seniors Travis Raab and Pia Bacubac star in their final leading roles at HCS as Cyrano and Roxanne. Supporting leads include Amanda O'Donnell (DJ) and Gavin Ruddy (Christian). Other supporting players include Andrew Hill (Pickles), Natalie Lowin (Wanda) and Matthew Cole (Hot Todd). Also featured are Maeve Frost, Emily Sofio, Anya Brown, Rorie Whitcomb, Arielle Szathmary, Corinne Ruddy, Sativa Gordon, Tea Flynn, Liliah Morgan, Jesse Bray, Amelia Johnson, Michael Hurlburt, Emilee Hurd, Emma Thompson, Alex Brown, Jacob Rosenbloom, Mrs. Brandi Walruth and Mrs. Amy Raab.
Director Ami Corell said, "Both Travis and Pia are in their final leading roles with HCS drama club as they are both graduating in June. Supporting leads Amanda and Gavin do an outstanding job and add humor to the plot and the other supporting players, Andrew, Natalie, and Matthew round out the cast. Matthew and Natalie are also seniors in the cast along with Jesse Bray and Tea Flynn...Full of pop hits from the past 15 years and a well-written storyline, it will surely not disappoint!"
There are three showings, March 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. and March 10 at 2 p.m.
