Hector Fair starts Thursday

HECTOR--The 57th annual Hector Fireman's Fair will run for three days this week, beginning Thursday, July 23 and concluding Saturday, July 25. The fair will be held at the Hector-Logan-Valois Firemen's Field on Route 414 in Hector. The weekend will see a parade and fireworks in addition to traditional midway games and rides.
Thursday's events begin at 6 p.m., and include a family night, farmers' market, live animals and a sawmill display. There will be a DJ providing music, half-price ride tickets, a 50/50 raffle and bingo as well.
The fair opens again at 6 p.m. Friday, with the annual parade taking place at 7 p.m. Live music will be playing Friday, along with the same features as Thursday evening.
Saturday will feature a car show from noon to 4 p.m., with a chicken barbecue from noon until gone. Live music will be provided by Citizen Band Radio from 8 p.m. until midnight, with a fireworks display at 10 p.m. The evening will again feature live animals, a sawmill display, DJ music, a 50/50 raffle and bingo.
