WATKINS GLEN--Watkins Glen International will again host the IndyCar series Sept. 1-3.
The Labor Day weekend racing lineup will include the season finales for IndyLights, Pro Mazda and the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship. The Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup and SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks will also be competing throughout the three-day schedule.
"The Verizon IndyCar Series and Indy Lights both put on tremendous shows during last year's return to The Glen," said WGI President Michael Printup. "For us to have the opportunity to add another four series to that slate, it's incredible. Our fans are going to have on-track action starting early in the morning and lasting to the early evening hours. We can't wait to get this event started."
By virtue of Scott Dixon's record-setting pole lap of 1:22.5250 (147.008 miles per hour) last season, The Glen has been dubbed "America's Fastest Road Course."
