Lake Country Players perform ‘Tom Sawyer’
WATKINS GLEN—The Lake Country Players will present “Tom Sawyer” this weekend, Friday, July 12, to Sunday, July 14.
The play is based off Mark Twain’s novel “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” which is set in the late 1800s in a small town along the Mississippi River. It was adapted for stage by Sara Spencer.
The cast features area youth between the ages of 5 and 18. Violet Fink plays Tom Sawyer and William Yeater is Huckleberry Finn, two troublemakers. The cast also includes Ben Campbell, Jack Muir, Owen Bingham, Alex Yeater, Wrett Brower, Ashley Caslin, Gracelynn Geinitz, Katherine Larson, Danica Geinitz, Abby Swarthout, Sarah Norton, Kendra Larson, Rebecca St. Clair, Angus Zerbey, Wyatt Brower, John Coates and Jazmin Shea.
The play will be held in the Watkins Glen middle school auditorium (200 10th St.). The Friday performance is at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday’s are both at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors, and free for children four and under.
