HAMMONDSPORT—Hammondsport's varsity baseball team beat Bradford, 4-3, Wednesday, April 27. Coach Dan Conley said pitcher Ryan Eckel came into the game in the middle of the sixth inning to hold Bradford at bay. Eckel struck out four of the six batters he faced. He even scored the run that tied the two teams, 3-3. After that, Keegan Rawlins came to the plate at the bottom of the seventh inning, with runners on second and third. Hammondsport also had one out. Conley said Keegan, "lined a single to left field scoring Zack Wade, giving the Lakers their first win in two games." Jordan Schuck was the Lakers' pitcher before Eckel. He had three strikeouts and gave up three runs.
