Lakers open sectionals with a win

AVOCA–The number one seeded Hammondsport volleyball team defeated number eight seeded Hinsdale in three sets, 25-11, 25-8, 25-12, Friday, Oct. 25.
For the Lakers, Tanessa Whitney had seven aces and seven kills. Carly Presley and Taylin Bower each had seven and six kills respectively, while Bella Kreuzmair had 20 assists.
Hammondsport improves to 17-0 and will take on number four seeded Honeoye, Tuesday at Avoca at 7 p.m.
