'Meet the Candidate' night set for Oct. 24

SCHUYLER COUNTY--A "Meet the Candidate" forum for Schuyler County candidates in contested November elections is set for Thursday, Oct. 24. The evening meeting will be at the Watkins Glen elementary school auditorium starting at 6:30 p.m. and all are welcome.
"An informed citizenry is a central part of a good democracy. Information about candidates is key to that, and this is why the Watkins REVIEW&EXPRESS is sponsoring the event for Schuyler County voters this year," George Lawson, REVIEW&EXPRESS president and publisher, said. "We want people to be informed."
Candidates for Schuyler County judge, Legislative District 7 and Legislative District 8 have been invited to give timed presentations and answer questions from the audience. Also invited to speak and answer questions are candidates for contested offices in the towns of Catharine, Cayuta, Dix, Orange and Tyrone.
Candidates for uncontested county and town positions have been invited to be introduced to the audience.
