'Meet the Candidates' Night is March 8

PENN YAN—Voters will have the opportunity to see and hear the candidates on the ballot for the upcoming Penn Yan election. The “Meet the Candidates Night” will be sponsored by The Observer and will be held at the Penn Yan village office building Monday March 8 from 7-9 p.m. The election is then on Tuesday, March 16.
Keuka College Professor Gary Smith will be the moderator for the session and each candidate will have the opportunity to make a brief opening statement and then the candidates will answer questions from the general public. Penn Yan voters are encouraged to submit questions for the candidates to answer by simply sending an email question to the newspaper at theobserver@citlink.net. Questions should be about a Penn Yan community issue or topic. (Questions targeted at individuals and personal challenges will not be included).
The candidates on the ballot for the March 16 election date include: Running for one available position that includes a two-year term on the board: Kenneth A. Kamholtz, Michael J. Christensen, Michael J. Carmel Jr.
Running for three available positions that includes a four-year term on the board: Robert S. Hoban, Bart Winslow Jr. William J. Allison and Wayne F. Davidson
Running unopposed for mayor: Bob Church.
