Middle school 'Cinderella' begins Feb. 4

PENN YAN--The Penn Yan middle school Drama Club will be performing the Rodgers and Hammerstein production of "Cinderella"Thursday through Sunday, Feb. 4 through 7. All performances will be at the middle school auditorium, with show times at 7 p.m. Thursday,Friday, and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Under the direction of Becky Prine and Rachel Hucko, the cast and crew have been preparing, painting, and practicing for the weekend performances.
The show has been "double cast" to allow more students to perform in lead roles. While some individuals will be in all four shows as the same lead characters (Genna Elliot as the godmother, Collin Cummings as the prince, Maddie Flynn as the queen, and Jacob Eskildsen as the king), others will take on lead roles only on two of the four nights. Thursday and Saturday crowds will see Riley Dallos perform as Cinderella, Keuka Miranda as the herald, McKelvie Jensen as the stepmother and Cailyn Warren and Jayden Hollister as the stepsisters.Friday and Sunday crowds will see Cami Webber perform as Cinderella, Kaley Griffin as the herald, Triana Burgos-Farman as the stepmother, and Maddie Martini and Serina Sheradin as the stepsisters.
Other students involved include Samantha Trank, Braxton Smith, Skye Sutherland, Reilly Cohick, Elle Harrison, Amelia LeVea, Hannah Parsons, Molly Campo, Clarissa Enos, Sierra Harrison, Alexis Marble, Violet McCarley, Autumn Mitchell, Morgan Scofield and Alaina Smith.
Tickets will be $8 at the door.
