Milo adopts 2013 budget
MILO—The Milo town board adopted the town’s 2013 budget during their meeting Monday, Nov. 19. The 2013 budget contains a $42,000 tax levy increase from last year. Councilman Arden Sorensen did not attend the meeting. Milo faces 2.6 percent tax increase
MILO—The Milo Town Board presented its preliminary budget for 2013, which includes a 2.6 percent increase in taxes from last year. Deputy Supervisor and Budget Officer John Socha said the 2013 budget contains a $42,000 overall tax increase from last year, but the state cap would have allowed an increase of $64,590, or 4 percent. Read More ...
Milo will not pursue noise ordinance
MILO—Supervisor Leslie Church announced the Milo Town Board will not implement a town-wide noise ordinance during their regular meeting Monday, Oct. 15. Church said the decision was made after reviewing a letter sent by the district attorney stating the town did not have “adequate resources” to prosecute local laws and that they will continue to defer prosecution to respective town attorneys, and because a proposed county-wide law did not have the full support of the Yates County Legislature or other Yates townships. Read More ...
Milo wants county-wide noise ordinance
MILO—The Milo Town Board recommended gathering support from Yates County townships for proposing a county-wide noise ordinance during their meeting Monday, Sept. 17. Officials hear Milo bridge replacement plans
MILO—The Yates County Highway Department held an informational meeting regarding the replacement of the bridge along Old East Lake Road Thursday, Aug. 30.
