Montour Falls holds Harvest Festival

Montour Falls--Enjoy a family-friendly, day-long celebration of the harvest in the Finger Lakes Saturday, Oct. 6, 12-7 p.m. on Main Street in Montour Falls. A kid's zone will be fully equipped with bounce houses, a puppet show, face painting, pumpkin decorating contest, balloon animals, games and a karate demonstration from Four Dragons Martial Arts.
Live entertainment kicks off with the Mark Twain Barbershop Chorus from 12-1 p.m., followed by Jeremy the Illusionist from 1-2 p.m. Dream Barn Productions will perform a teaser of their upcoming show from 2-3 p.m. and The Sweats will keep you rocking from 4-7 p.m.
The festival showcases a variety of craft and food vendors and demonstrations featuring a live welding demonstration with Barbie the Welder, chainsaw art by Stumpthing Chained and apple tasting compliments of Reisinger's Apple Country.
The festival concludes with a firework display cascading over the 156-foot Shequaga Falls.
