Montour Falls will host Fireman's Festival

  MONTOUR FALLS—The Montour Falls Fire Department is holding its annual Fireman’s Festival, Thursday, June 9, to Saturday, June 11.
    The carnival will be held at the fireman’s field, Route 224 in the village.  Admittance is free, though there are other costs.  Rides will be open from 6 to 10 p.m., both Thursday and Friday.  The musical entertainment for the first night is an American Idol-style singing competition in the entertainment tent, 6 p.m.  Carnival rides will be offered at a discount.
     On Friday, there is also a chicken barbecue.  Nick and the Nice Guys will provide the musical entertainment, at 8 p.m.  
    The main attraction on Saturday is the parade, which starts at 5 p.m.  It will feature five high school bands and 30 participating fire departments.  The carnival itself starts at noon.  A chicken barbecue and a discount on rides will once gain be offered.  Music will be provided by The Unusual Suspects.
