Mustangs lose at the last second, 58-55

PENN YAN—The Penn Yan varsity boys basketball team lost Friday, Dec. 18, at the the buzzer.
Waterloo's Tim Young scored a three pointer just before the game ended, making the score 58-55.
"It's a tough way to lose," said Penn Yan Coach Jay Hollister, especially because this was the Mustangs' last game in the old high school gym.  However, he added the team "played absolutely wonderful" and that this was the Mustangs' best effort thus far this season.
Nate Nichols scored the most for Penn Yan with 21 points.  Myles Volz scored 15 points.  Anthony Luppino and Ryan Morehouse each scored eight points for the Mustangs.
Penn Yan boys basketball teams plays next at Jordan Elbridge High School, Jan. 6.
