Mustangs win sectional title

ROCHESTER-The Penn Yan boys varsity lacrosse team won the Section V Class C championship, Wednesday, May 27, by beating Aquinas, 12-2.
The Mustangs will now play in the state Western Regional Championship against the Section VI Class C champion, Akron, Saturday, May 30, at St. John Fisher.
At half time during the Wednesday game, the score was 7-0.
Austin Fingar and Sean Emerson led with three goals each. Tate Stewart and Craig Gerhardt both scored twice. Ben Covert and Austin Blumbergs had one goal.
