Nolt earns Himrod Fireman of the Year

HIMROD--More than 100 people attended the Himrod Fire Department to honor their top volunteers at the annual awards banquet Saturday, Jan. 16.
The Firefighter of the Year Award went to Eugene Nolt.
"If you ask him to do it, he will do it and get the job done," Chief James Source said.
The other award winners included:
• Most Training Hours -- Matthew Westfall. Westfall completed 208 training hours in 2015.
• Chief's Award -- Lynnford Hoover and Waylon Fritz.
• Presidential Award -- Deb Webster and Steve Acker.
• Special Recognition Award -- Jen Collins and Chris Warriner.
• Lucy Covert Award -- Ben Vedder.
• First Responders Award -- Larry Collins.
The dinner was prepared by the Dundee Fire Department Auxiliary. The Dundee Fire Department's annual awards banquet will be heldFriday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Dundee Fire Hall.
