Nothing But The Truth

'Nothing But The Truth' debuts this weekend

WATKINS GLEN—The Lake Country Players Understudies program will perform “Nothing But The Truth,” Friday to Sunday, in the Watkins Glen Elementary School auditorium.
On both July 23 and 24, the play is at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday, July 25 performance is at 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $6 for adults, and $4 for students/seniors. The play is directed by Andy Blanchard.
In “Nothing But The Truth,” David (Ian Remmers) and his sister Mary (Danielle Morgan) travel on a cruise ship together. In this comedy/mystery, things become complicated when David tells a fellow passenger, Kate (Kara Wood), that he is a spy and solving a mystery in order to impress her. David is not the only one with his eye on Kate, though.
However, the situation only gets more complicated when David finds out there is an actual international sabotage plan underway. He then decides to look into the mystery, like the spy he said he was.
Along the way, he discovers Mr. Elias (Jon Chapman) is mysteriously traveling with a large sum of foreign money and is wary of Captain Kraus (Aaron Fisher), whose name singles him out as a possible German agent. As if this isn’t enough, Mrs. Elias (Tyler Little) is trying to play matchmaker by hooking David up with young Paulette (Anika Hummel), while the steward (Taylor Gilbert) and the waitress (Peyton Westlake) simply try to maintain a sense of order.
