Odessa crowns Olivia Walrad homecoming queen

ODESSA―Odessa-Montour celebrated their homecoming, Friday, Sept. 13. However, the Odessa-Montour varsity football team suffered a loss to Thomas A. Edison, 33-8.
During halftime, the homecoming queen was announced as Olivia Walrad. She was joined by Julia Bates, Sara Hancock, Tess Visscher and Trisha Williams on the court.
At halftime, Edison led, 21-0. Coach Bob Lee said Adam Gifford had 14 carries for 58 yards. He added "the seniors played hard. They knew it was their last homecoming game."
However, Lee said Edison had three big plays that "killed" Odessa: a 55 yard interception, a 74 yard run, and a 47 yard kickoff. "(Odessa) moved the ball down the field, but not into the end zone," explained Lee. "Penalties hit us." The Indians face Groton next in an away game, Friday, Sept. 20.
