Odessa girls win against Marathon

ODESSA-The Odessa-Montour girls varsity basketball team topped Marathon, 53-50, Friday, Feb. 12.
Olivia Grover led with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Gillian Clark earned 14 points and six rebounds, while Nakiaha Robinson secured nine points, five assists, and four steals. Kennedey Heichel scored six points. Alexis Saunders added three, while Alyssa Crout rounded out the score with one point.
"We couldn't ask for a better prep game for sectionals," said Coach Greg Gavich. "Really proud of how we executed down the stretch and dug down on the defensive end when we had to in the last four minutes. A great team effort on that end of the floor especially."
Odessa is now seeded number eight for the Class C sectionals and will face number nine seed Sidney, Wednesday, Feb. 17.
