Odessa girls win Tip-Off Tournament

ODESSA-The Odessa-Montour girls varsity basketball team defeated Thomas A. Edison, 51-21, in the final game of the Tip-Off Tournament, Saturday, Nov. 28.
Olivia Grover led with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and six steals. Gillian Clark scored 13 points, with seven rebounds. Sage Garrison recorded eight points and three assists. Alexis Saunders and Alyssa Crout each had two points, while Kennedey Heichel added seven assists.
Odessa beat Groton, 50-28, in the tournament's first round, Friday, Nov. 27. Lansing beat Groton in the consolation game.
"We did a great job getting out in transition offensively tonight, using our half-court defense to create scoring opportunities on the other end," said Coach Greg Gavich. "Our ball movement was very good for this early in the season in both games this weekend."
Grover was awarded Most Valuable Player and was joined by Clark on the All-Tournament Team.
