Odessa, Hammondsport celebrate athletes

Athletes from the three sports seasons were recognized for their efforts at the Odessa-Montour Sports Boosters Banquet, Wednesday, June 10. Coaches from each sport talked about the season and presented awards for dedication and contribution. The Harold Lynch Athlete of the Year Awards were presented to Hailie Searles and Joe Rorick. The Charles Martin Memorial Sportsmanship Awards were given to Manley Gavich and Dana Roberts.

Hammondsport Central School honored varsity athletes at the sports awards ceremony, Wednesday, June 10. Honorees were selected for outstanding performance, improvement throughout the season and commitment.
Additional awards included: NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete Team Award: girls tennis, girls basketball and girls track.
Varsity Letter Awards: Aaron Lowin (10) and Alyson Binnert (14).
Laker Athlete Awards: Dalton Ordway and Olivia Makarick.
Patricia Beilby Award for outstanding athletic and scholastic achievement: Alyson Binnert.
Harold Block Award for outstanding athletic and scholastic achievement: Aaron Lowin.
Laker Athletic Award for outstanding athletic achievement: Olivia Makarick and Dalton Ordway.
Karen Griffin Clancy Award: Dalton Ordway and Sydney McGinn.
William Whitney Scholarship: Aaron Lowin and Sydney McGinn.
